I got to know Jesus Christ when I was 14 years old. I was studying at Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' Secondary. Although I heard about God a lot of times, but I am far from knowing God. When I was in Band, I got to know a friend. She brought me to a Youth For Christ Program, a hike up Bukit Timah Hill. I met many new friends there. They shared to me about Jesus Christ.
          Many times in my life, I have wondered what is the meaning of life. I had a skin problem from young, so I had inferiority complex. thinking that people don't like me. I had few friends. When I heard that God loves me for who I was and wants to give me a meaningful life that He will never leave nor forake me, I was touched, so I received Him into my life. My life has never been the same ever since.
          I had been given bible lessons by Youth For Christ but had not taken my faith seriously until I join Emmaus Fellowship in 1997. They are very serious in their walk with God. Much emphasis has been given to applying the Word of God in our lives.
            I have also joined Youth For Christ as a volunteer to reach more souls for Christ.
          Although my christian life have never been a smooth sailing one, I want to hold on to my faith until Christ Jesus comes back. For the pleasures on earth are temporal, in the end when I die, the things that I achieve will amount to nothing. So I would rather choose to follow Christ and when the day He returns, I would be with Him in heaven forever. Would you, my friend want to follow Christ too?
